So as not to leave it at that and actually clarify my position: If you really want to poke fun at someone, why not find fault in a quote from someone who is actually presumed to know what they are talking about on behalf of their beliefs- like a well known theologian or better yet, Jesus Christ himself? Or just choose someone who is at least respected by a large number of followers even if they don’t know what they are talking about in terms of religion…like a politician (that could be interesting). That would prove far more beneficial to your readers and your case for atheism.
There are plenty of places online where I have called out the statements of famous apologetics, or even the Pope himself, just not here (yet). Give it time.
I just thought this particular statement was comical in it’s ignorance. I would never actually debate this person, because it would be a waste of time. Thanks for your comments.
